Another fine member of Green Court has passed away. As a kid, Mr. Johnson would provide hot chocolate for the neighborhood kids skating on the river, He also treated us to the local circus in support of a local charity. An interesting man, who would often educate me on something, often the environment. May he rest in peace. Condolences to Mrs Johnson and all the girls and their families. Marty

Sixty years ago he hired this country bumpkin from Pennsylvania. I spend over 40 years with company before retiring and his support and kindness, especially during my family's serious illness problems, will never be forgotten. He was truly a special man.

Susan, Kathi and Family: I have so many wonderful memories of your dad. He was always very good to me. I will always remember my baby shower, he extended lunch and let the entire factory celebrate my new arrival! He also came to the library and did a wonderful program on bees for the children's room as a favor to me. I always felt like family and he will have a special place in my heart.

My prayers are with your family. Mr. Johnson was good neighbor and friend to my parents Bob and Paula Scott, as well as my Nana, Kitty Scott.
We always loved his honey and made sure we stopped by when we were visiting.
God Bless your family at this time.

Dick was a great man who was fantastic member of the Rotary Club of Roselle/ Roselle Park. I always remember his wonderful stories, including the life of honey bees and bee venom therapy.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know him.

Your neighbors, the Scotts of Mill Street, extend our sincere condolences. We will always remember Dick's energy and enthusiasms! When our parents, Bob and Paula Scott, needed assistance, he was there for them - running errands and bringing his welcome smile. We all loved the Johnson honey and his Windham Journal columns, where we learned so much about bees and bee-keeping.
He was especially blessed that, with with the support of Marian and his family, he was able to be in the home and village he loved to the end.

I was so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. I met Dick years ago at what I think was the first meeting of the Catskill Mountain Beekeeepers Club. We were fellow beekeepers and friends ever since. I did work for Dick and Marian on their property. They always made me feel so welcome in their home. Dick told me several stories about his and Marian’s life. He always expressed so much wisdom in everything he spoke about. He will be missed a lot and I will think of him often. I hope that Dick is in a wonderful place.

I love you Daddy. You taught us so many wonderful things. The love of nature, the ways to enjoy the outdoors, and how to care deeply for family and friends. Always driving down the road not taken. You fought valiantly and are finally at peace. As we honor your life, know that you have touched so many people. Bee well, fly free.
