Joan, As you can imagine, my heart goes out to you.
One of my favorite stories about your mother is about how she handled the door-to-door missionaries. "Oh, you want to talk about God? I love to talk about God. But first, let's all drop to our knees and say the rosary." I bet they practically left skid marks. This cracked me up when I first heard it and it still does.
She raised a great family, but kept a wonderful sense of humor-not easy to do. I'm glad that she went to her reward during Holy Week. May your memories be not only many, but also warm.
