Obituary of Shirley A. Breigle
Windham- Shirley A. Breigle, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Margaretville Memorial Hospital, Margaretville, NY after a long battle with Dementia / Alzheimer's.
Born in Albany, Shirley was the daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Miller. Shirley will be remembered by her family as a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the wife of Joseph Breigel; dear mother of Larry (Indera) and Jeffrey (Switlana); cherished grandmother of Randy, Lauren, Laura and Adrianna Breigle; sister of Jean (Donald) Dean; niece of Ruth (Richard) Stillwell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Shirley was a business teacher at the Windham- Ashland-Jewett High School retiring in 1995.
She was active in the Ashland Community Church in Ashland. She especially enjoyed the Sacred Dance Group she was a member of.
Shirley and Joe enjoyed many cruises over the years visiting many parts of the world. Shirley just loved their trips to Maine.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Margaretville Memorial Hospital for their excellent care.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Ashland Community Church, Ashland, NY on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11AM. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
