Obituary of Amos C. Post

Prattsville- Amos Charles Post, 59, of Pratsville, NY passed away on December 19, 2016 at his residence. He was born on January 18, 1958 in Pratsville, the son of Charles A. Post and Evelyn Wheeler. He attended Gilboa Conesville Central High School. He worked for NYS Department of Transportation for 25 years where he enjoyed the use of all of the heavy equipment or "Tonka Trucks" as he would say. He loved working on many different things in his free time. He loved to watch Sci-fi movies with his family, he loved to go camping, but most of all , loved it when his family came together for dinners and such. Amos is survived by his wife Melissa A. Post; his sons Travis A. Post , Douglas E. Parslow and Thomas A. Post; his daughter Christina R. Post; his mother Evelyn Wheeler; his daughter in laws to be, Lisa Pearsall and Alex Cavaliereand son in law to be Kevin E. Lopez as well as aunts, cousins and brother and sister in laws. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Decker Funeral Home, 5312 State Route 23, Windham, NY. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Prattsville Community Church, 14464 Main Street, Prattsville, with Pastor Nash officiating. Interment will be in the spring at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Prattsville, NY. The family would like to thank everyone who cared and prayed for Amos.
