Obituary of Elnora Truesdell

Prattsville- Elnora Truesdell, 91, of Prattsville, NY died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at home. She was born on February 8, 1926 in Chichester, NY. She was the daughter of Charlie and Phoebe Grant Jones. Elnora was the wife of Herbert who died in December 2002. She was a homemaker all her life, working on the farm. She was a member of the Lexington Methodist Church. She loved going to garage sales and auctions, doing crossword puzzles and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include her sons, Alfred and Sue and Gary and Barbara; her daughters Marilyn and Tom Soule, Barbara Richrath, Jeanne and Jeff Countermine and Gail and Ronald Maynard; her sister Helen Partridge of Ashland; 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Madeline Sutton; her brother-in-law Edsal Partridge, Donald Truesdell and Bill Sutton. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Decker Funeral Home, 5312 Main Street, Windham, NY. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 1PM at Lexington Methodist Church, 809 E. Main St., Lexington, NY. Interment will take place in the spring.
