Obituary of Agnes Louise Gilbertsen

Windham- Agnes Louise Gilbertsen, 90, passed away on June 12, 2017 in Southport, NC where she has resided for the last eight years with her son Ed and daughter –in-law Kristie. She was born in Teaneck, NJ on December 9, 1926 the daughter of the late Robert and Louise (nee Farnkoff) Morrison. Agnes and her husband Edward moved to Windham in 1951 where they raised their three children. She was a member of the Windham- Hensonville United Methodist Church where she was the former Superintendent t of Sunday school for many years. Agnes was a long time member of the Mountain Star Oasis, Chapter of the Eastern Star. Agnes was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Edward on March 25,2001. She is survived by her children, Ruth (Dennis) Martin, Edward (Christie) Gilbertsen and Robert (Kim) Gilbertsen; her grandchildren, Kerry, Erica, Eric, Brian (Jessica), Tommy (Morgan), Jenny (Branden), Theresa(Dennis), Kimberly (Josh) and Robert Jr.; her great grandchildren, Eliza, Camden, Maddie and Mack. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 2-3PM at the Windham-Hensonville U.M. Church, 5296 NY-23, Windham with a service to follow and interment in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
