Obituary of Frank O. Schellhorn
Frank (Schelly) Schellhorn, 75, long time Windham resident was welcomed into the arms of our Lord, October 9, 2018. Born in NYC April 3, 1943, to the late Frank and Mary Schellhorn, he received his MBA from NYU and was a retired Wall Street Bond Trader. He married his soul mate and love of his life Sandra (Sandy) Smith, April 14, 1965.
Husband of 53 (legal) years to Sandy, father of their pride and joy, Marc Schellhorn (Carrie) of Denver, CO. Fur dad to Abys Jesse and Oliver. Brother of the late Bill Schellhorn (Maureen) and Liz Petersen (Bob). Uncle to Mary Beth O'Brien (Steve), Eileen Schellhorn (Jon); Jimmy Schellhorn, Anne Schellhorn Sobala (Poitr); Caitlin Blake (Davey); Robbie Petersen (Brooke) and Gabby Gallagher (Bryan). Grand Cat Father to Chessie of Denver. He will be missed by hundreds who knew and loved him.
He was a superb athlete and unique individual who did most things "his way." Please go to Facebook/Sandy Schellhorn to read her tribute to the love of her life telling the fascinating story of "What made Frank Tick," in his time on Mother Earth.
A man of great faith and conviction, he was a very active member of the Windham-Hensonville United Methodist Church, the church and congregation he so loved. Donations in his memory may be made to W-HUMC Memorial Fund, PO Box 274, Windham, NY 12496.
He chose to be cremated. A Celebration of his Life will be held outdoors in the spring at the convenience of his family.
