Obituary of Bruce Albert Maben

Jewett- Bruce A. Maben, 81, of Jewett, NY died on Monday, March 4, 2019 at his home in Jewett.

He was born on September 14, 1937 in Catskill, NY, the son of the late William G. and Laura (nee Van Etten) Maben.

Mr. Maben was a graduate of Windham Ashland Jewett Central School in 1955. He attended Cornell University and SUNY in Oneonta.

He worked in the field of surveying from 1961 until 1980. He was a Justice of the Peace and a Supervisor for the Town of Jewett.

He was a member of Jewett Volunteer Fire Department, Mountain Lodge #529, Cyprus Shriners and Mountain Star Oasis Chapter #237.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janice Jenkins Maben. Three children Diane Osborne (John), William K. Maben (Cathy) and Vickie Truesdell (Steve). Also survived by 5 grandchildren Alison Jacobs, Ryan Federico, Michael, Alexandra and Sean Maben. 2 great grandchildren Adelynne and Riley Maynard.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Mt. Lodge #529, Jewett Presbyterian Church or Jewett Fire Department.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 3P.m. at the Jewett Presbyterian Church, Co. Rt 17, Jewett, NY 12444
