Obituary of John Robert Sandleitner

East Jewett- John R. Sandleitner Esq. died very suddenly on Saturday April 6,2019 amongst his family. He was 51. He was born on September 20,1967 in Bronx, NY to the late Robert and Susan (nee Lyden) Sandleitner. John was a graduate of Fordham Prep in 1985. He graduated three years later from NYU and onto St. Johns Law School in Queens graduating with a Juris Doctor degree. ln l998, John met his wife Jennifer (nee Calhoun) Sandleitner when they both started as criminal prosecutors in the Bronx District Attorney's Office. They married on July 20, 2OOO. He took a leap of faith and moved his family to their vacation home in 2005, starting his local practice with his wife in Tannerville, NY. He was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughters Juliette, Caroline and Stephanie Sandleitner; his sister Jeanette Harem; and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister Laura Antonucci. John was a loyal and loving husband, devoted father and caring member of the community. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 11 ,2019 from 2-7PM at Decker Funeral Home, 5312 Main Street, Windham, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10Am at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 5L88 NY-23, Windham, NY. lnterment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
