Obituary of Evelyn M. Rikard

Evelyn M. Rikard passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. She was born on December 22, 1931 at the family home in Johnson Hollow, Prattsville (Town of Roxbury), NY. She was a graduate of Grand Gorge Central School in the class of 1949. At the age of 13, she began working at the Greendel Packing Plant in Prattsville, where she remained into her twenties. She was then employed for many years at Stamford National Bank. After leaving the bank, she worked as an administrative assistant at the "The Catskills" Magazine, published in Prattsville, NY. Ultimately, she worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Prattsville until her retirement. She is survived by her brother, Clifford J. Rikard, numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces and numerous cousins. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Prattsville, NY, at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 27, 2019. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
