Obituary of Walter C. Hunt
East Durham, NY
Walter C. Hunt Sr. 72,died on May 16,2011 at St. Peters Hospice Inn. He was born on Dec. 26,1938 the son of Samuel and Eva (nee Murray) Hunt in White Creek, NY. He is survived by his loving wife Beverly, his six children Bonnie Uranga, Walter Jr.,Tim, David,Sam and Martha Hotchkiss. He is also survived by18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren as well as his brothers Art and John and his sister Reta Mears and many nieces and nephews.
Walter worked for the the last seventeen years as a tire maker at Smith Tire in Hudson, NY. Before that he was a farmer for most of his life. He loved the NY Yankees and was an avid fan.
Calling hours will be held at Decker Funeral Home, Windham, NY on Wed. May 18,2011 from 6-9pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Thurs. May19,2011 in the funeral home at 11am. Interment will follow at Cairo Cemetery.
