upon hearing the news yesterday of gracie's death, i thought of many childhood memories i have of gracie and mary ann. we were friends growing up and i treasure that friendship after all these years. i wish to extend my sympathy to her sweet children and grandchildren and her extended family.
mary ann, please know that my thoughts are with you all and i pray for each of you to heal at this time.
remember all the special and happy times and the love she had and showed to each of you.
Memories are what we are left with after we lose someone so special, if i remember gracie at all, i know she made each of you all smile, laugh and happy. those times are pure gold.
you are in my prayers and thoughts and god bless each of you.
most sincerely, pam barefoot

"We weren't prepared for you to go
You were too full of life to be
Taken away from us so soon
It's still hard to believe
How much we'll miss your smile
And your laughter in our ears
Your absence leaves a hole in us
We're filling with our tears
You taught us how to be our best
To in the moment live
To never hold a grudge for long
And loyal friendship give

Thou I never met your mother, I know a mothers heart and know she loved you very much. No one can take the memories away. A mother is allways a mother even in death we still call her mom. My heart goes out to the family. Behold, I go and make a place for you, if it were not so I would have told you. Jesus Christ says I will wipe all tears and sorrow away. Behold I make all things new.

I was so sad to hear the news that Gracie had passed away but I feel at peace knowing that she is with our Lord. Gracie was my aunt and although I hadn't seen her for many years, I still have very fond memories of her from my when I was a child. My cousins Kim, Cindy and Bryan - bless all of you during this sad time. May God fill your hearts with peace and understanding. I love you.

I will miss you Nanny... thank you for everything you did for me growing up. You were always there when I was younger, and I have lots of memories of us with Micheal and Papa. You treated me as your son, rather than your grandson. I never noticed it when I was younger, but looking back, you helped me, Sheena, and Momma out alot. We all thank you for being that loving person. Even though we all went our seperate ways, I still wish there was a way to see you again one last time. I just wish you could have met Parker, you would have truly enjoyed her. I love and will always miss you Nanny.

Mama, there are no words to describe the pain that I feel right now. Your loss is just unbearable for me. You are gone too soon. We will never let your memory be for gotten and we will let your grandchildren know what a great big heart that you had. A part of you will forever live within me. I can only pray for forgiveness for the times that I have let you down. You have been my rock so many times in my life. No matter what our differences were, they are all gone now and I will love you with all of my heart for the rest of my days. I can only wish that I had just one more hour with you. Rest in peace now mama and we will be together again one day. I LOVE YOU!!

A special memory goes out to a wonderful person. Gracie, you were the greatest Mom and mother-in-law that anyone could have asked for. You always shined a light on everyone you came in contact with. You gave many years making me into the person that I am. I wish I had just one more day to say Thank You again. The world truly lost a great soul on July 7, 2011. You will always be greatly missed and remembered. I love you Momma.

Even though my sister was only four years older than me she was like a mother to me in some ways. I lived with her for several years and she was very good to me. We often disagreed on things but we still loved each other. As time went on we went our separate ways, but I will always be grateful to her for her kindness in helping me when I needed her. I will cherish the good memories in my heart forever. I love you Gracie. -- Your sister, Mary Ann
