Ashland, NY - Elizabeth (nee Carboy) Dignam,76 formally of Brooklyn, NY died on Monday Aug.27,2012 at St. Peters Hospital , Albany NY. She is survived by her loving husband of 55years Thomas Dignam. She was the devoted mother of Dorothy Beatty, Joann Parchinsky ,Andrew Dignam, Steven Dignam, Loretta Dignam (deceased) and Veronica Dignam. She was the grandmother of ten and great grandmother of two. Betty was locally known for her crocheted afghans that she made for the Veterans in the StrattonV.A. Hospital in Albany, NY. Calling hours will be held at Decker Funeral Home, Windham, NY on Thurs. Aug. 30,2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church,Rt. 30 Grande Gorge, NY on Fri. Aug.31,2012 at 9:00am. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery,Ashland, NY.
