Obituary of Margaret Ann Davis
Margaret Ann Davis of Windham NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday Nov 29 at St Peters Hospital after a brief illness. She was 71. Margy is survived by her partner Glenn Hapeman, her children Cynthia (Jeff) Friedman, Bruce McNab and Heather (Christian) Rauch. She is also survived by her siblings Roy (Char) Davis, Bill (Carol) Davis, Larry (Liz) Davis and Ted Davis and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Davis McNab in 1988 and more recently her daughter-in-law Irene McCann McNab, brother Glynn (Sharyn) Davis, and sister Phoebe Davis (David) VanScoy. Margy loved her grandchildren more than life and is survived by Nicole Friedman, Devin Friedman, Kyle Friedman, Carli McNab and Téa Rauch. Margy had many pastimes that she enjoyed in the last few years until her arthritis became too painful. She participated in stained glass making, ceramics, quilting and every year made pickles from her mother's recipe. Mom was an active participant in the United Methodist Church. She was a founder of the Windham Historical Society and played an integral role in the naming of the Pat Meehan Memorial Highway. She started the restoration committee for the Mitchell Hollow Chapel, was on the Town of Windham Planning Board and was active in the WAJ Alumni Association. She was a friend of Bill W for 29 years and played an active part in providing support to all her friends. She was a very active member of her community.
Services
A wake will be held at Decker Funeral Home on Friday December 2nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday December 3rd at the Windham Methodist Church at 5pm.
