Obituary of Guy Patrick Garraghan

Windham-NY Guy Patrick Garraghan,64 a lifelong resident of Windham passed away suddenly on Nov.2,2010 at Albany Medical Center . He was born on Nov. 15, 1946 the son of John and Phoebe (nee Munson) Garraghan. He is survived by his wife Carol (nee Lane), his daughters Shannon and Kristen ,his son Jimmy, his granddaughter Casey , his mother in law Henrietta Lane and his brothers Mike and Chris. Guy was a graduate of WAJ, a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force and a great friend to the Windham Community. He was the General Manager of WRIP radio located in Windham, NY. He was instrumental in starting the station that first aired on August 5,1999. He was a consummate broadcaster and emcee, and a celebrated toastmaster over his career that spanned nearly 50 years. A celebration of his life will be held at Windham Mountain in the Legends Restaurant on Sunday Nov.7,2010 at 2:00pm.
